Ora Collective began with a simple observation:

Not every space calls for a big lamp.

In New York, every corner has a purpose. A bedside table. A narrow console. A shelf beside a stack of books. A small moment of space that still deserves something beautiful.

So we began designing lighting for those spaces.

Meet Mehr

Ora Collective is shaped by the creative direction of Mehr, a New York-based designer drawn to objects that feel warm, expressive and a little unexpected.

Living among the smaller spaces of the city became part of the inspiration. Beautiful lighting, she felt, should not be reserved for large rooms or expansive homes.

But city living asks for something different.

Something smaller, without feeling lesser.

That idea became Ora.

Alongside her is Hassan, helping bring each collection from concept to life.

Together, they create pieces intended to bring character, warmth, and beauty to the spaces we live in every day.

Made by hand. Made to be lived with.

We work with skilled makers and craftspeople to bring each design to life.

Ceramic forms carry subtle variations from the hands that shaped them. Glass is blown into soft, dimensional forms. Rattan is woven strand by strand. Metal is formed and finished to give each piece structure and weight.

Those small variations are part of what we love.

They remind us that an object can feel considered without feeling perfect.

And beautiful without feeling precious.
